"For me there is only the traveling on the paths that have heart, on any path that may have heart. There I travel, and the only worthwhile challenge for me is to traverse its full length. And there I travel -- looking, looking, breathlessly. -- Carlos Castenada from the Teachings of Don Juan

Home: Where is the heart of it?
Williamston Theatre's production "Home: Voices of Families from the Midwest" provokes reflection on exactly what do we mean by HOME.  With scenes compiled from stories sent in by mid-westerners, the play inspired me to ask myself what is Home?

The Daily Mandala: May 8, 2010

 Today, in awareness of the subtle energies
around me, I feel refreshed and renewed
from the spring rains
that clear my path, revealing clean lines
on the road ahead. A bright and breezy
curiosity compels me to walk on.
With simplicity and wonder
I enjoy my expanding horizons, while
  remaining true to my inner calling. -- atb

The Daily Mandala: May 2, 2010

 Life becomes a fiesta... of flowering possibilities and candlelight inspirations, kindling my heart with compassion and beauty...when I take time out to revive my spirit in creative activities and round-the-table conversations with loved ones and friends. Projects and dreams brighten, infused with their love and support. Knowing that we all are connected lifts my aspirations to ever higher levels of accomplishment. I pursue my path with gratitude and joy.

"Does this path have a heart?
If it does, the path is good;
If it doesn't, it's of no use."
